Meet Kristen Lynn
Award-winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, actor, and dedicated educator based in Studio City, CA. Hailing from Philadelphia, Kristen holds a BFA from West Virginia University and has extensive training across theater, performance, and multiple musical styles. Growing up surrounded by music — with two pianos in the home, a father who conducted/founded the Pennsy Pops Orchestra, and a mother nominated for a Grammy — Kristen’s passion for the arts was ignited early. Inspired by legendary performers from her childhood, Kristen knew she could make a difference by sharing her gift.
With over a decade of experience teaching a wide range of disciplines—from Early Childhood Music and Music Therapy to Adult Guitar, Ukulele, and Voice classes—Kristen has worked with students of all ages and skill levels. Her teaching credentials include positions at 3rd Street Elementary, Berkeley Hall, The Atwater Center, Carlson Hospital Homes (where she worked as a music therapist for children and nurses), and Guitars in the Classroom, which she was selected by the board of education to teach literacy through songwriting to teachers. Kristen specializes in personalized private lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style, focusing on Piano, Voice, Ukulele, Guitar, Flute, and Acting. She is passionate about the transformative power of music and inspired by her ability to positively impact lives of all ages through her work. Making Learning Fun
Success in learning often hinges on finding the right Music Teacher—someone who not only knows the subject well but also knows how to inspire others. My teaching style emphasizes skills training, self-exploration, and discovering a passion for something new. I keep it fun for the kids by rewarding their efforts with stickers and prizes, making the learning experience enjoyable and engaging. PIANO LESSONS
I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on Piano Lessons. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As an experienced and passionate Music Teacher, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn all while keeping learning FUN! I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities. Students will get to learn and play on a Yamaha Grand Piano!
UKULELE LESSONS
I specialize in Ukulele & Banjolele Lessons.  That's right, I also play and teach the banjo-uke!  For a young child, playing and learning the ukulele can be loads of fun.  It's a nice intro to the guitar since it's easier to play and not as hard on the fingers.  We can start your child as early as pre-school on the ukulele.
VOICE LESSONS
I specialize in Voice Lessons, and know how to reach my students with the right balance of personalized attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. I make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities.
GUITAR LESSONS
I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on Guitar lessons. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As an experienced and passionate Music Teacher, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.
FLUTE LESSONS
Growing up, the flute was one of my first loved instruments. I can help you with breath control and getting that beautiful tonal quality with your instrument, all the while reading music. Dust off that flute in your closet your grandpa handed down to you and schedule a lesson today.
